Reiki Treatments in Roscam

About Reiki

At Roscam Reflexology, I believe in offering more that one option to my clients for their Wellbeing. Having received Reiki from Sharon Fitzmaurice, I loved the feeling of relaxation and serenity it gave me, quieting my mind and helping me feel lighter in myself, giving me clarity as to what my next step was to be.

As it turned out that next step was to train as a Reiki & Seichem therapist with Sharon in order to offer this energy healing to my clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Reiki?

Reiki comes from two Japanese words, REI which means 'Universal Life Energy' and KI which means a ‘key’ or an opening.

It is a technique of channelling and transmitting vital energy and love through the imposition of hands on the Chakras or different parts of the body, which is used to balance body, mind and emotion in oneself and with the environment.

It helps to boost the immune system, reduces stress and empowers energy levels. Reiki & Seichem are gentle tools of empowerment and transformation that can help to release emotional and energetic blockages. When these blockages are released, it allows for a free flow of energy throughout the body, improving physical and emotional health.

What will happen during my Reiki Session?

Your Reiki treatment will be held in Roscam, Galway. We’ll begin with a brief consultation to understand how you're feeling and whether you have any existing ailments or illnesses. You'll only need to remove your shoes and be seated in a specially designed Reflexology Chair for ultimate comfort.

For the beginning of the session, you will be seated upright for me to place my hands on your shoulders and head. Then I will recline the chair for the remainder of the session. I will use hands-off energy healing, placing my hands over the body, for a portion of the session, and also place my hands on your feet towards the end of the treatment.

You may feel tingles of energy within your body or sensations of warmth or cold throughout or you may not notice any feeling or sensation other than relaxation. Most people feel a sense of calmness and relaxation during the treatment and feel lighter and brighter afterwards.

How do you know if Reiki is working?

Reiki works whether you feel it or not. You may feel heat, warmth, cold, or tingles of energy. When you feel Reiki flowing, whether you are giving or receiving it, is verification that the energy is being welcomed.

What is the difference between Reiki and Reflexology?

Both treatments help the body maintain its ideal balance, release tension in the body, improve energy flow, and help the body access its inherent self-corrective abilities.

Reflexology is often used for more physical aches and pains and can relieve tension in problem areas such as the neck and back. However, it can also help on an emotional level and eases anxiety, hormonal imbalances, stress, tension, and sleep issues.

Reiki supports our inner energy, Reiki can help with a variety of issues from pain and anxiety to fatigue. It can help to support your emotional wellbeing by supporting social connections. It allows the individual to open up to new possibilities and enhances the capacity to love. In this way, it can help to improve your relationships and give them a new lease of life.
